BARREN DESERT
Terrain: Shifting sand dunes with the occaional dried up river bed. Sandstorms are relatively common here, and the only water to be found is from small, tough plants that grow in the shelter of the dry river beds.
Source: Occasional outcrop of precious metal revealed in the dry channels.
Wildlife: Vultures.
GRASSLANDS AND VILLAGE OF HUTS
Terrain: Gentle grassy hills with occasional springs. Infrequent groves of trees dot the landscape. The huts are constructed of woven hazel twigs, and are grouped around a large spring bubbling up out of the rock. Plants are in abundance.
Source: Good grazing land and fresh water.
Wildlife: Several herds of cows wander the pastures. Birds have colonised the land as well as rodents carried on ships.
