ROCK PLATEAU

Terrain: Flat plateau with a thin covering of soil shielding the bedrock. Small plants, bushes and grass cover the plain, with abrupt descent via steep cliffs into the sea around the edges.

MOUNTAIN RANGE

Terrain: highly mountainous and steep, with peaks and plains at high altitude. Within the volcanic crater of Mount Llandyssul is a lake. On top of Mount Rockheart is Rockheart Keep, the seat of the human monarchy. Pine forests lightly dust the sides of the mountains. Around the East foot of the mountains is a long sandy beach.

Wildlife: Birds of prey roost in the mountains, and deer plus the usual collection of small animals litter the slopes below.


NORTH WEST ISLAND MINES

Terrain: Rocky foothills of the central mountain range. The mineral veins buried in the mountains are close to the surface here and tunnels honeycomb the flanks of the hills.
